West Bath – Gary D. Roberts Jr., 48, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Groton, CT on August 16, 1974, a son of Gary D. and Francena Roberts. He was a graduate of Morse High School, class of 1992.
Gary was a farm boy, not afraid of hard work, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and disc golf. He had a bleeding heart when it came to animals. His farm upbringing instilled an excellent work ethic that anyone he worked with was amazed by. No matter if he was helping laying flooring or helping a friend build a deck or doing metal fabrication at Bath Iron Works, his work ethic was always complimented. Gary was a loving and protective son, brother, passionate father, and partner. He was a sincere and lifelong friend who wouldn’t hesitate to give you his last dime. He had a devilish yet infectious smile, always quick with a joke. He loved to dance and have a good time with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his father, Gary D. Roberts on March 19, 2020, and by one sister, Rebecca Roberts on March 3, 2018.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah E. Roberts, and her partner, Joshua Gerow of Woolwich, his mother, Francena Roberts of West Bath, one sister, Kate Roberts of West Bath, and his dog, Gandalf.
