Frederick A. Martin, age 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away January 13, 2017. Fred was a long-time dairy farmer and an avid John Deere enthusiast. He was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, K of C, and Catholic Order of Foresters. Fred loved his family and had a very good sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Pauline (Arens) Martin and brothers, Anthony, David, and Vernon Martin. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Genevieve (Thelen) Martin; children, Maridell (Dan) Hafner, Gerardine (Tom) Pohl, Jim (Wanda) Martin, Allen (Ronda) Martin, Rick (Linda) Martin, Steve (Shelly) Martin, Beth (Louis) Markel, Kathy Martin, Janice (Ken) Schafer, and Michelle (Craig) Thelen; 32 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, with two on the way; sisters, Norma Simon, Millie Droste, Mary Ann (Roman) Koenigsknecht, Phyllis Thelen, Linda (Paul) Ambrustmacher, and Janice (Alvin) Feldpausch; in-laws, Mary Ann (Bruno) Cook, Roger (Bernice) Thelen, and Larry (Jeannette) Thelen; and many nieces and nephews.
