Fred E. Peaslee, 88 of Wiscasset, died Monday morning, February 17, 2014 at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born, February 9, 1926 in Somerville, a son of the late Guy and Leola (Benner) Peaslee. Mr. Peaslee attended school in Jefferson and served honorably with the U.S. Navy during WWII. On July 18, 1947 he married Marylou Soule. For over sixty-two years he sold Christmas Trees and started the family tree farm in Edgecomb in 1980. For thirty-five years he worked as a Marine Worm Shipper. Mr. Peaslee was a member of Lincoln Lodge of Masons No. 3 in Wiscasset and Past-Commander of the Bradford-Sortwell-Wright American Legion Post #54 in Wiscasset. He was an avid racing fan selling tires to racers for years.
