Fred Cianni, Jr. age 77, a lifelong resident of Chisholm died unexpectedly, Sunday November 24, 2013 in his home. He was born August 26, 1936 in Chisholm, the son of Federico and Emma Marrucci Cianni, and was a 1954 graduate of Chisholm High School. Fred served his country in the United States Army, and on August 1, 1959 he married Vivian Hendrickson at St. Joseph’s Church in Chisholm. Fred was employed as labor foreman for Reintjes Company, past president and life member of the International Labor Union Local #1097 AFL-CIO, owned and operated the Ring Neck Shooting Preserve pheasant farm and was a bough buyer for Evergreen Industries. He loved gardening and tending to his lawn. Fred was also an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to cook and make porkettas, was a coin collector and a “picker” of antiques. He enjoyed his coffee shop gang at the bakery, and was fortunate to spend time in his homeland, Italy.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Vivian; sons: Theodore Cianni and Edward Cianni of Chisholm, and Joseph (Kristi) Cianni of Dickinson, ND; grandchildren: Tiffany (Shane) O’Neil, Chad, Mickaela, Jade, & Shane Cianni; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Ava, Shiloh, & Shabrea; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son: Frederick Allen; siblings: Dino, Umberto “Babe”, & Nick; & granddaughter: Christina Nicole Cianni.
