Frank Henry Shortz, 82, of Portland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was born on March 4, 1941, in Lake Odessa, the son of Otto “Dale” and Maxine (Austin) Shortz. Frank retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He could fix anything and was always up for a challenge when it came to helping his family with building projects. Frank enjoyed hunting, camping, and going to the Silver Lake sand dunes with his buggy. Frank will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents. He is survived by the light of his life and wife of 61 years, Linda (Chapman) Shortz; children, Michelle (Marc) Wood and Michael (Sonia) Shortz; two grandchildren, Ashley Shortz and Cameron (Aimee) Shortz; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Shortz; and brothers, Gary (Nancy) Shortz and Marvin Shortz.
