Age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009. She was born on June 24, 1931 in East Grand Rapids the daughter of Thomas and Joanne Estes. Francoise graduated from the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and American Academy of Fine Art in Chicago. She resided in the 3 Arts Club while living in Chicago, Illinois. Francoise spent her life as an artist and illustrator. Besides art, her interests included pets and rescuing and caring for animals. She was a very spiritual person and once you met her, you were fond of her. She was also a very dignified woman who was proud of her Native American and French descent. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her family: Pastor Mark (Mindy) Gerdes and Susan McKellips.
