Francis (Frank) Joseph Dever, age 77 passed away on October 16, 2015 at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD.
Frank was born on October 25, 1937 in Coaldale, PA to the late James Dever and the late Susan (nee Shovelin) Dever. Frank was raised in Coaldale and graduated from Marion High School in 1955. After graduating, Frank joined the United States Air Force in 1958. While in the Air Force, Frank spent time in Japan, Germany, Vietnam and Crete. He retired from the Air Force after more than 20 years in 1979 ultimately achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon leaving the Air Force Frank attended the Computer Learning Center. Upon completion of his studies he landed a job with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Frank worked at CSC as an analyst until he retired in 1993 at the age of 56.
Frank was a member of the American Legion, Post 60 in Laurel and the VFW post back in PA. He did the Washington Post crossword puzzle every day, loved Sudoku, westerns and football. He bowled for years.
Frank married his wife, Barb in 1963. They met at a high school dance. Barb and Frank moved to Maryland City in 1974.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Barbara and his beloved daughter Fran. Frank is predeceased by his brother James Dever.
