Fran was born at Kings Daughters Hospital in Canton on March 25, 1957. She attended Canton Academy where she played the clarinet in the band. She graduated from Leland High School, Leland, MS. She performed supervisory work in a furniture plant in Canton, MS, but was most proud of her work as a cross-country 18-wheeler driver. She loved and knew personally her savior, Jesus Christ, and on earth loved her Jen the most. She loved being with family and her many friends, the sun, gardening, singing, dancing, and cooking. She loved Willie Nelson and met him backstage, and was proud of that. She loved getting in her truck and traveling, singing “On the Road Again.” She never met a stranger, and helped all she could along the way. She just loved life every moment she was able to participate. She loved her church family, Center Terrace Baptist in Canton, where she grew up and returned to.
