Fern L. Kahle, 80, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 24, at University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri.
Fern was born in Hermann, Missouri on March 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Darwin and Louise (Hobein) Brandhorst.
She was the wife of Emil Kahle. They were married on June 11, 1961 at Stony Hill, Missouri. Emil survives her at the home.
Fern is also survived by a brother Dennis Brandhorst & wife Karen Diane of Jefferson City, and three nieces Carol Fleer & husband Robert of Gerald, Sharon Meyer & husband Bobby of New Haven and Shirley Fink & husband Roy of Rochester, Minnesota, also by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Fern was a registered nurse. She started working at St. Luke’s Hospital then went to work for Hermann Hospital where she retired. She also worked at Florsheim Shoe Factory.
Fern also helped her husband on the farm.
