Everett Eugene Phipps, 69, of Cherryville, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2007. Everett was born Tuesday, February 2, 1937 in Shirley, Missouri, the son of Harley “Buck” and Laura (Bohannon) Phipps. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Mae Wilkinson on November 7, 1964 in St. Louis and to this union three sons were born.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Evelyn of 42 years; two sons, Everett Phipps Jr. and wife Bridget of Cherryville and Darrell Phipps and wife Cindy of Union, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brianna Phipps and Adam Phipps; one brother, Donald Phipps and wife Margaret of Sun City Center, Florida; and one sister, Betty Martinez of Oakville, Missouri; his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Wilma Wilkinson of St. Louis; two-sisters-in law, Beverly Cotton and husband George of Lemay, Missouri., and Madeline Brandt and husband Jeff of Lakeland Florida; and one brother-in-law, Fred Wilkinson Jr and wife Debra of St. Louis, Missouri. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Jeffery Scott Phipps and one brother-in-law, Lupe Martinez.
Everett had worked as a lithographer at Western Lithotech for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of GCIU local #505 in St. Louis. Everett and Evelyn moved to Cherryville in 2001 where they were active in the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church.
