It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene Jackson Kersting (Josephville, Missouri), who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie (Pieper) Kersting, his parents, Paul Kersting and Arline (Jackson) Kersting. He is survived by : his children, Joe and (Tonia) of Moscow Mills, MO, John (Kathy) of Moscow Mills, MO, Gary Kersting of Josephville, Mo, Shaun (Rachel) of Moscow Mills, Mo, Bridget (Mark) Gutermuth of Moscow Mills, Mo and his very good boy, Ralph his favorite furry friend ; his siblings, Paulette (Jerry) Wilmes of Josephville, MO, David (Vernie) Kersting of Hunnewell, Mo, Virginia (Sonny) Kiel of Hermann, Mo, Donnie (Sherril) of Josephville, Mo, Kaye (Roger) Sachs, Moscow Mills, Mo, Steve (Debbie) Kersting of Josephville, Mo, Nancy (Mike) Hemmer of Josephville, Mo, George Kersting of Wentzville, Mo, Mary (Ted) Gregory of Josephville, Mo; his grandchildren, Adelaide Kersting, Isabelle (Trace) Armstrong, Olivia (Seth) Morgan, Alexis Kersting, Elizabeth Gutermuth, Paul Kersting, Ava Kersting, Sydney Gutermuth, Taylor Kersting and Brody Kersting; and his great grandchild Harrison Armstrong, with Johnathan Kersting on the way.
Eugene and Jeannie were married April 16th, 1966. They lived in Josephville raising their family. Eugene taped drywall in the union for over 40 years while Jeannie stayed at home raising their children and babysitting. They loved each other, showing their love by signing each others card, love you always or with all my love. Jeannie passed away in October of 2006. Gene was her steady companion taking loving care of her during her illness. They were a great example of true love. They are reunited again.
