Eugene “Gene” James Riley

Age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was born on June 13, 1934 in Hubbardston, MI the son of John and Louise (Rockey) Riley. Mr. Riley was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and has been retired from Fisher Body for the past 28 years, after 36 years of service. Gene was a Spartan and Tigers fan, enjoyed deer hunting (especially being in his deer blind), campfires, golfing, and being with his family. He loved going out to breakfast, mowing lawn, and gardening. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Jan Thelen; sisters, Betty Geller and Patty Schafer; brothers, Jack, Joe and Leonard Riley; several in-laws. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Audrey; children, Steve (Karen) Riley of Stevensville, MI, Sandy (Luke) Kowatch of Westphalia, Jayne (Glen) Klein of Portland, Jon (Colleen) Riley of Fowler, Pat (Stacey) Riley of Fowler; son-in-law, Perry (Shirley) Thelen of Westphalia; 33 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Loraine Barker, Helen Tait, Rita Snyder, and Janet (Pat) Burns; in-laws Donna Snitgen and Sue (Terry) Brya.
