Age 86, of Westphalia, formerly of Portland, passed away March 2, 2015. He was born on December 13, 1928 in Westphalia, MI the son of Alfred and Aurelia (Schoenith) Snitgen. Eugene served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Alaska as a tank commander. He married Annette Lay in 1951. He retired from Wolverine Power in 1991 as Chief Operator. Eugene was a member of the VFW Post #3733, Catholic Order of Forresters and the Saint Joseph Society.
