He loved “old” country music and watching sports, especially the Lions. Gene retired from G.M. after 25 years of service. He was preced in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and his wife, Sandra Kay VanSiclen. Surviving are his children: Kim Austin, Cheyenne VanSiclen (John Hobart), Terry (Rachel) VanSiclen, Randy (Trina) VanSiclen, Jason (Melinda Voeks) VanSiclen, and Kevin VanSiclen (Trina Perry); grand-children, Leslie and Matt Austin, Brandon, Sabrina, Rusty, Dalton, Mareesa, Maximus and Sam Hain VanSiclen, Johnny Hobart Jr, and Yasmine Manning, and a great-grandchild Peyton VanSiclen; mother-in-law, LaDonna Burhans; several brothers and sisters-in-law.
