On Monday, June 20, 2022, Minneapolis resident Eugene “Butch” A. Blaylock passed
away at the age of 55.
Butch was born in Colorado on August 16, 1966, to Eugene and Mary Ellen (Cushing)
Becker, the youngest of 7 children.
Butch was adopted by his Stepfather, M.M. Blaylock when the family moved to Belton
TX where he excelled in sports and academics
graduating from Belton HS and attending Temple Jr. College.
Butch moved to Minneapolis in 2010 and generally worked in office management.
Butch earned his pilot’s license and had many sports interests including biking, martial
arts, sky diving, and football… Go Broncos!
He also enjoyed gardening and theater acting. Butch was known as an advocate for
those who are homeless or struggling with addiction.
Butch is survived by his siblings Doug (Cheryl) Becker, Julie (AL) Sebestyen, Mark
(Nancy) Blaylock, Laura (Joe) Hammond, Chris (Renee) Blaylock,
and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends including Rick Anderson and their
dog Chance.
Butch was proceeded in death by his parents and stepfather and one brother, Timothy
James Becker.
