Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Mae Jones Gressett will be held Monday at 2pm at Blue Springs Baptist Church in Chunky, MS. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Lyn Chesney will be officiating the services. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Gressett, 82, of Houston, TX, passed away Wednesday at her residence.
She loved to ride horses, taking care of her flowers and dancing. Mrs. Gressett will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved children and was very protective of her family.
Mrs. Gressett is survived by her children John Audie Gressett (Debra), Rex Allen Gressett (Barbara), Harold Warren Gressett (Wanda), Bobby Gressett, Judy Carol Spencer (Johnny), Joseph Gressett, Sharon Dobson (Jim); seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Buddy Jones (Janette), Oneil Jones (Sandy), Wade Jones (Donna) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gressett is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Exie Mae Jones; husband John Allen Gressett; siblings Betty Jones, Albert Jones, Sally Spears, Sidney Sharpe; and great granddaughter Skylar Gressett.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
