Esther Marie Olson, age 96, of Williams, MN passed away on December 17, 2007 at the LakeWood Care Center in Baudette, MN.
Esther Benson was born on November 25, 1911 in Minneapolis, MN. She moved to Graceton, MN as a young child and attended school there. She graduated from Williams High School and later attended North Star College in Warren, MN. She and Richard Olson were married on June 15, 1932 in Graceton. They moved to a farm in Williams. Esther worked as a grocery clerk in Williams and later at the Hartz Store. She also worked as a cook for the Williams school for many years.
She is survived by her son, Donovan (Muriel) Olson of Warroad; daughter, Dorene (Lauren) Fookes-Gordon of Ephrata, WA; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard in 1986; daughter, Nancy; and brothers, Frank and Lawrence.
