Esther Lorraine Summers, age 90, passed away March 13, 2017. She was born August 7, 1926 the daughter of Roy and Carrie (Parks) McCrumb. Esther was a devoted employee to Portland Public Schools for 26 years and was a beloved bus driver for 17 years. She was an avid bowler, loved quilting, and enjoyed reading as of lately. Esther was known to always “shoot from the hip” and had a no-nonsense attitude about life. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 38 years, Leroy “Doc” Summers; two sisters; four brothers; and a son-in-law. Surviving are her four children, Joseph Michael (Tami) Summers, Randolf James (Artie) Summers, Kim Leroy (Linda) Summers, and Jody Lorraine Delo; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
