Esther Blondell Pritchett, 79 of Cambridge, passed away at the Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge on Saturday March 7, 2009. She was born at Bishops Head on September 6, 1929, and was a daughter of the late Wilson Davis Pritchett, Sr. and the late Mildred Mills Pritchett.

 She attended schools at Bishops Head and Crapo. Most of her life was spent working at the Crocheron Brothers Seafood, Goose Creek Seafood and several other seafood plants. Some years ago she had attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church at Bishops Head. She enjoyed fishing, and she was a member of the Lakes & Straits Fire Co. Auxiliary. Miss Pritchett had been in failing health for the past several months and had been a patient at the Mallard Bay Care Center since the end of January where she passed away on Saturday evening.

Survivors include one sister Lucille P. Rigby and her husband Jack Rigby of Seaford, three brothers Rufus W. Pritchett and his wife Charlotte Pritchett of Cambridge, J. Oneal Pritchett and Lois Pritchett of Milton, DE and Melvin R. Pritchett and his wife Peggy M. Pritchett of Toddville, two sisters in law Cleta Pritchett of Crocheron and Beatrice Pritchett of Staunton, VA  and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Henrietta Pritchett, Mary Anne Thomas and Nancy Lee Pritchett and two brothers W. Davis Pritchett, Jr.  and Robbie S. Pritchett.
