Erwin was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia and the Catholic Order of Forresters. He retired from Oldsmobile in 1990 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and watching the Military and History Channels. Erwin was a veteran of the U.S, Army serving most of his time in Europe.
