Errol Glenn Hietala, age 73, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at his home with family at his side. He was born June 13, 1943, in Duluth the son of Glenn and Elsie (Hill) Hietala. Errol went to school in Hibbing. He served in the 194 Armor division of the Minnesota Army National Guard. Errol was united in marriage to Janis Carlson on August 22, 1981, at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. He was a happy, humble and loving person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Errol was a self-employed custom woodworker. He worked on many projects both corporate and private. Recently he worked on the custom interior work at the Mesaba Clinic addition and new departments of the Fairview Hospital in Hibbing. He enjoyed mentoring others in the craft.
