Elroy Overkamp, 64, of Gasconade, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Overkamp was born in Americus, Missouri on March 22, 1949, the son of the late Norbert and Marinda (Maddox) Overkamp.
He was the husband of Barbara (Freeman) Overkamp. They were married March 20, 1998 at Rhineland. Barbara survives in Gasconade.
Elroy is also survived by three children, son Brian Overkamp & wife Sheila of Hermann, and two daughters Sara Lotshaw & husband Tracey of Gasconade and Mila Overkamp and friend Billy of Hermann, four step-children, Ellen Schaumberg & husband Rick of Hermann, Jim Pottebaum & wife Jackie of Rhineland, Lawrence Pottebaum Jr. & fiance Nicole of Gasconade and Mary Minor & husband Tony of Morrison, a sister Nancy McNeil & husband Steve of Peru, Indiana and a brother Verus Overkamp & wife Sally of Moscow Mills, Missouri, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Susan (Walkenbach) Overkamp, she passed away May of 1996, and a brother Norbert Overkamp, Jr.
Elroy was a member of Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri and of the Hermann Eagles. He worked for Florsheim Shoe Company for 25 years then for Pretium Packaging for 12 years.
