Ellen Marie Lawwill, 71, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Lawwill was born in Norfolk, Virginia on August 2, 1942, the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Sewell) Lang.
She was the widow of Ronald E. Lawwill. They were married September 17, 1960 at North Carolina.
Ellen was a member of Hermann Community Christian Church and a former member of the Fordham Baptist Church, Hampton, VA. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years for the youth. She was very involved in doing God’s work and volunteering her time. She was very active in the Senior Center, going on casino trips and loved playing bingo. She loved her grandchildren, and had a part in raising a few of them for a couple of years.
She worked as a home health care aide and was very proud in achieving her degree in home health aide.
Ellen is survived by two daughters, Justine Horton & husband Tim of Hermann and Lori Waggoner & husband Jason of Hampton, Virginia, a brother Robert Lang of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a sister Shirley Carlson of Norfolk, Virginia and by four grandchildren, Douglas Horton, Tyler Bowman, Charlie Horton and Justin Bowman. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Ronald Lawwill, by two sisters Sadie Kennedy and Emily Dileva and two brothers William and Lloyd Lang.
