Wiscasset- Ellen M. Wanser, 71, of Flood Avenue passed away on Friday September 30, 2016.
She was born on January 29, 1945, a daughter of George H. and Marcia E. (Bailey) Wilson.
After graduating from Wiscasset High School in 1963 she went on to become a Registered Nurse. On December 16, 1967 she married Randy Wanser. She spent most of her career as a RN working in labor & delivery at Midcoast Hospital.
Ellen loved nature and all of God’s creatures, finding joy through outdoor pursuits including bird watching, gardening and mushroom foraging. Time at camp and time spent with family and friends were precious to her. Her generous & faithful heart led her to support many chartable organizations. She attended the Wiscasset Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her mother, Marcia E. Wilson of Wiscasset, her husband, Randy Wanser of Wiscasset, three daughters, Rachael L. Wanser, Rhonda E. Wanser and Gina Wanser, one sister, Bernice Kenney of Cundy’s Harbor and many nieces and nephews.
