A true Irish Catholic girl, Ellen Ryan lived life with joy, love, kindness, generosity and faithfulness. The centerpiece of Ellen’s life was her 56 years of marriage to her beloved husband, R. C. “Bob” Ryan. Throughout their shared life together, Bob and Ellen raised a family, built a family business, and travelled the world. Ellen’s pride and joy was always her family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, Ellen adored her children and cherished each of her grandchildren. Her passion for gardening, reading, sewing, and decorating was matched only by her mastery of Bridge. Always an entertainer, Ellen loved hosting friends and guests at home in Minnesota, in the great outdoors of Wyoming, and on the “Cinderellie” yacht in Florida. Ellen’s humble upbringing as the youngest of four girls on a small farm in Minnesota instilled in her a work ethic that she possessed throughout her life. Once a mother always a mother, Ellen was caring for her family until her last breath. Ellen’s was a life well lived; her family loves her very much.
