Ella Jo Greenwalt of Cuba, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born November 26, 1952 in Potosi, Missouri to Eugene Keith Vance and Anna Mae Gilliam Vance. On September 1, 1971, she was united in marriage to David Greenwalt and to this union two children were born.
Ella Jo was a member of the Steelville Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school for many years and taught the group of Missionettes. She loved gospel music and was the pianist for the group “Chosen Generation.” She enjoyed traveling and singing with the group and had just recently sang in Oklahoma.
Ella Jo enjoyed shopping, loved her church, her family and grandbabies.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of forty-three years, David Greenwalt of Cuba, MO; one son, Christopher Greenwalt and wife Casey of Cuba, MO; one daughter, Melissa Greenwalt of Cuba, MO; her mother, Anna Vance of Czar Tower, MO; mother in-law, Mildred Greenwalt of Steelville, MO; three brothers, Frank Vance and wife Darla of Cherryville, MO, Herman Vance and wife Darlene of Steelville, MO and Ronnie Vance and wife Laura of Helds Island, MO; five sisters, Lena Medley and husband Kevin of Belgrade, MO, Ethel Medley and husband Wayne of Bixby, MO, Fay Conduitt and husband Larry of Cuba, MO, Anna Lea Edgar and husband Rick and Fern Conaway and husband Rodney all of Steelville, MO; three grandchildren, Jasey, Holdynn and Addilynn; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Roger Greenwalt and wife Nancy of Potosi, MO, Ronnie Greenwalt and wife Janie of Steelville, MO and Larry Greenwalt and wife Martha of Sullivan, MO, Karen Stovall and companion James Rice of Stanton, MO, Connie Watson and husband Phil of Versailles, MO and Judy White and husband Charlie of Steelville, MO; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Keith Vance and father in-law, Harold Greenwalt.
The Family received friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Steelville Assembly of God Church in Steelville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Curtis Medley, Daulton Conaway, Allan Edgar, Lee Vance, Blake Vance, Keith Vance, Anthony Bynum and Brent White.
