Elizabeth R. Towers of Denton, MD, died Monday, September 25, 2017, at the UM Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD. She was 88 years old.
Born in Easton, MD on January 14, 1929, Mrs. Towers was the daughter of the late Edward Augustus Richardson and Ida Bell Lednum Richardson. Her husband, George C. Towers, Sr., died May 26, 2005.
Mrs. Towers was a farmer’s wife. She cooked, cut grass, tended the garden, and many other chores. But, she was also a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Towers is survived by two sons: George C. Towers, Jr. of Harmony, MD and Paul W. Towers, Sr. of Denton; two daughters: Sharon Daffin of Burrsville, MD and Betty Ann Woolford of Hurlock, MD; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Richardson.
