Portland – Elizabeth M. (Morton) Hersey, 66, of Portland, passed away on August 26, 2013 at the Maine Medical Center, after a short illness. She was born in Portland, on October 21, 1946, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Ricker) Morton. Elizabeth grew up in Portland; attending Portland Schools. She really enjoyed her time being on the water of Casco Bay, where her father was a local fisherman and lobsterman.
Elizabeth was an energetic and independent person, right up until the end. She worked hard to support her two sons, while living on Munjoy Hill in Portland.
