Bath- Elizabeth “Lib” Bartlett, 93, of The Moorings, Congress Ave., formerly of Sebasco Estates, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Winship Green Nursing Center.
She was born on July 29, 1917 in Winter Harbor the daughter of John and Lillian Coffin. She grew up on Hooper’s Island and Port Clyde and attended Deering High School.
On November 7, 1948, she married Jeremiah “Jed” Bartlett. Prior to her marriage, she worked in the nursing field in Washington DC, and Florida. For many years, she worked alongside her husband, trawl fishing, tuna fishing, lobstering and operating their lobster business. She also worked at Sebasco Lodge and the Phippsburg Elementary School for many years.
She was a lifetime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bath.
