Elaine Marie Bertram, 73, of Hibbing, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
Elaine worked with the church volunteering for kitchen duty, setup, and cleanup. Any help that church needed, she would make the time for. She also worked as an aide for Buchanan nursing home for many years before an injury made her retire. She worked for Heartland PCA for 10 years after retirement to help out friends who became family. Elaine also ran Bertram Excavating with her husband for many years and even delivered dirt in a single-axle dump truck. All that in one small package!
Her joys in life were her son, grandchildren, and lunch or coffee with her best friend Diane DuLong. She loved connecting with relatives she didn’t know she had. She also loved reconnecting with family she knew and meeting new people.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Emma (Carpenter) Snow; her brother Donald Snow Sr; her son Kevin Bertram; and her husband Jimmy Bertram Sr.
Elaine was survived by her son Jimmy (Heather) Bertram Jr.; her grandchildren Darrian, Kyra, and Melissa; sister Diane; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
