Elaine Joyce McAleney Richards, 77, of Georgetown, Maine, formerly of Somersworth, NH and Springvale, ME, left the shores of Georgetown Island for more sacred waters on Monday, January 14, 2013. Her daughter was holding her hand.
Born in Springvale on February 2, 1935, she graduated from Sanford High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart who was a Navy man. Elaine and Lou cherished each other for fifty-nine and a half years. Together they raised two daughters, LuAnn Richards Erickson, formerly of Rochester, NH and Debra Ann Richards Thibodeau, of Georgetown, Maine. Lou and Elaine also had a hand in raising three grandchildren: Kristy Erickson of Portsmouth, NH, Kevin Thibodeau of Georgetown and Lainey Thibodeau of Georgetown. Elaine adored her son-in-laws, John Thibodeau of Georgetown and Bob Erickson of Rochester, NH.
