Portland – Elaine Audrey Tucker peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Portland on March 19, 1931 to Archibald and Eleanor (Foss) Mishio. Elaine attended local schools and lived most of her life in the city she adored. After high school, Elaine worked as a waitress at Uncle Andy’s Bakery and then for her brother Spike at Stinson’s Bakery until she retired.
Not letting retirement slow her down, Elaine volunteered as a foster grandmother at several daycares around Portland, bringing joy to many children.
