Earnest Earl Lloyd of St. James passed away Thursday June 5, 2008 at St Elizabeth, Mo. while on a fishing trip. He was 62 years 3 months and 30 days of age.

Earnest Lloyd was born February 6, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late James Cecil and Annie Lee Baily Lloyd.

On June 5, 1966 at the First Baptist Church in St. James, Earnest was united in marriage to Linda Faye (Picker) Lloyd.

Earnie as he was know by his family and friends., is survived by the greatest catch of his life, his dear wife Linda Lloyd of the home., Son: William (Billy) Lloyd and wife Sheila of St. James; daughter: Tammy and husband Tony Rigsby of Newburg,Mo., Brother: Windle Lloyd and wife Wanda of St. James, Sister: Opal Ayers and husband Richard of Columbia; sister: Mary Sue Hance and husband Jack of Vichy, Mo. Step-sister Roberta Clark of Flordia.,Brother: Ronnie Kalb of Oregon and brother: James Lucien Lloyd of Washington state., along with 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Earnie is preceaded in death by his mother Annie Lee Bailey Lloyd Kalb and Father James Cecil Lloyd and step-father Clarence “Shorty” Kalb and sister Vicky Cummings.

Earnie was known as the “Worlds Greatest Fisherman”. He loved fishing, camping and woodworking. He also loved his watching his grandchildren play. His favorite time of year was Christmas when he could spoil his family.

He always started the week by having coffee with his best friend Jim Holt and his wife Linda every Sunday morning. He started every day by going to select coffee shops and drinking coffee with his friends. Earnie will be truly missed by his family and friends.
