Dutha Marie Lambert died peacefully at the age of 94 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, in the presence of her youngest daughter and caregiver, Patricia Lambert Shane, on March 4, 2022. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church, formerly Calvary Baptist Church, in Pascagoula since 1952. She was the youngest child of Elvin Boyd and Bazilia Manning Boyd.
She is preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and three brothers, her husband, Zelra Andrew Lambert and son, Richard Lambert; granddaughter, Susan Short; great grandson, Cory Gregory.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Trish) Shane, Pascagoula; daughter, Betty Gayle Gregory, Gulfport; three grandchildren, Michael Tompkins (Gina), Biloxi; Eric Tompkins (Melissa), Fairhope, Alabama; Jeff Gregory, Panama City, Florida; great-grandchildren, Emma Tompkins, Jack Tompkins, Evan Tomkins, Dawson Gregory, Abby Gayle Gregory, and Logan Short; two great great grandchildren, Savannah and Makayla Gregory; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family is especially grateful of her Care-In-Home Hospice Team Jathan Staton, Cammie Wilkerson, Connie Lillo and Adrian Russe for their caring support.
