Age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born on December 16, 1967 in Ionia, MI the son of Lloyd and Sharon (Fletcher) Gensterblum. Douglas was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gaylord, was an avid Notre Dame and Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR (especially Mark Martin), and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Doug worked for Bimbo Corporation for 27 years. Preceding him in death were his father, Lloyd, and his grandparents. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sharon (Lewis) Hagle of Eagle; brother, Rick (Sherri) Gensterblum of Portland; niece, Amber Gensterblum; nephews, Randy (his godson), Colin and Cory Gensterblum; step siblings, Cindy (Scott) Evans, and their children Katelyn, Lacey and Cameron Evans, and Steve (Monica) Hagle, and their daughter, Francesca Hagle.
