Douglas Dewey Kohlbusch, 64, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Hermann Area District Hospital.
Mr. Kohlbusch was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 21, 1946, the son of the late Herman and Martha (Kuschel) Kohlbusch.
He was the husband of Shirley Kohlbusch. They were married on February 20, 1971 at Hermann, MO. She survives in Hermann.
Douglas is also survived by a daughter Deborah Shafer & husband Jeff of Camdenton, daughter Linda Kohlbusch & special friend Rob Phillips of Joplin, son Brad Kohlbusch & wife Amy of Carl Junction, daughter Jennifer Weist & husband Mike of Joplin and son Jeff Kohlbusch of Hermann, three brothers Dwight Kohlbusch of Hermann, Doyle Kohlbusch of Green Castle, Pennsylvania and brother Vernon Kohlbusch of Hermann, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren He is preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Delano Kohlbusch.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Zero Manufacturing, Midwest Metal, Canam Steel, Ampaul Windows and retired from Scholastic.
