Dorothy “Dottie” Olive McCoy of Cherryville, MO passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Hillsboro, MO. She was born June 16, 1928 to William and Alma (Maynard) Burgess. On July 7, 1971 she was united in marriage to Andrew McCoy Sr. who preceded her in death on May 30, 2006.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three sons, Randy Litton and wife Donna of Providence, RI, Richard Litton and wife Kathleen of Lenexa, KS and Robert Litton and wife Linda of Eureka, MO and one daughter, Jan Green and husband Michael of Clinton, IA; two sisters, Maureen Burton of St. Louis, MO and Shirley Elting and husband Stuart of Olympia, WA; one brother in-law Hobart Baker; ten grandchildren, Zac and wife Lessa, Amy, Casey, Dustin, Julia, Nathan, Kevin, Andrew, Samantha and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Noah; other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew “Andy” McCoy Sr., her former husband and father of her children, Val Litton and one sister, Anita Baker.

“Dottie” was a an active member of the United Baptist Church outside Steelville for a number of years.
“Dottie” worked in St. Louis as a secretary for McDonald Douglas for several years.

“Dottie” will be remembered as one of the most positive and inspiring persons in the community because of her faith in Jesus Christ our Savior.
