Dorothy O’Dell Hoots, 90, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Dorothy was born on January 29, 1928, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Herman C. and Mary Ethel (Ewing) Stuckey.
She was united in marriage to Paul Herschel Hoots on November 30, 1947 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Good Buffalo (Dean) of Hannibal, MO; grandchildren, Ebanie Arthur (Luke) of Hannibal, MO; Toniia Williams of Arlington, TX; Clarissa DeBock (Chris Ablard) of North Platte, NE; Pauleana Good Buffalo (Evan McArthur) of Hannibal, MO and Chance Good Buffalo of Hannibal, MO; great grandchildren; Emma, Alex, River, Meadow, Vitallia and Caidence.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hoots was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Stuckey and sister, Alberta Mae (Stuckey) Hinshaw.
Dorothy graduated from Hannibal High School in 1946. Mrs. Hoots was a homemaker and cherished the time spent with her family, friends, and neighbors.
In her free time Dorothy enjoyed walking and working in her garden growing Thomas Edison Dahlias and Peonies.
Mrs. Hoots was a Christian by faith.
