Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Bohnenkamp, 67, of Cherryville, MO passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her home. She was born January 8, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Homer and Dorothy (Smith) Townsley. On Sept. 14, 1982, she was united in marriage to Richard Thomas Bohnenkamp who preceded her in death on September 25, 2009.
Dottie was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Steelville. She enjoyed bowling and was in a Steelville league for many years. She was a member of the Missouri Extension Club, Country Gals for twenty-seven years and enjoyed traveling with them. Most of all she loved her family and always had a smile.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Dan Bohnenkamp of St. Charles, MO, Mike Bohnenkamp of O’Fallon, MO, Robert Evans of St. Louis, MO, Mark Evans and wife Rosa of Rolla, MO and Steve Evans and wife Sheila of Cherryville, MO; one daughter, Diana Lea and husband Rick of Cuba, MO; three brothers, Gary Townsley of IA, Homer and Mike Townsley of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Sharon Portell of St. Louis, MO; fourteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rich; one brother, Denny Townsley; and one sister, Mary Wenzelburger.
