Dorothy “Dot” A. Schuyler of Denton, MD, died Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Caroline Hospice Home in Denton. She was 79 years old. Born in Harmony, MD on December 12, 1937, Mrs. Schuyler was the daughter of the late Edward Clayton Quillen and Alverta Rebecca Rogers Quillen. She was a 1955 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Denton where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also loved to sew, crochet, and cook. She was very active in the Caroline High School Alumni Association. Mrs. Schuyler is survived by her husband, R. Olin “Curly” Schuyler of Denton; two sons, Curtis O. Schuyler (Alice) of Denton and Larry E. Schuyler (Sherry) of Easton; two daughters, Debora S. Mitchell of Greensboro and M. Lynne Gulrich (Kevin) of Henderson; a sister, Edwina Sloane of Harrington; five grandchildren: Derek Schuyler, Joshua Mitchell, Megan Mitchell, Denise Blunt (Tab), and Kyle Gulrich; and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a brother, Jack Quillen; a sister, Peggy Blades; and a son-in-law, Jimmy Mitchell.
