Dorothy “Dot” Ann Renshaw McBride of Easton, MD, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Acts – Bayleigh Chase in Easton, MD. She was 89 years old.
Born in Ridgely, MD, Mrs. McBride was the daughter of the late Robert Joseph Magrogan and Mary Elizabeth Newton Magrogan. Preceding her in death, five sisters: Margaret, Ruth, Betty, Charlotte, Jean; and one brother, Robert. Her first husband, Edward Richard “Dick” Renshaw died in 1968 and her second husband, Martin “Marty” Joseph McBride, Sr., died in 2017.
Mrs. McBride graduated from Ridgely High School in 1949 and attended McQueen Gibbs nursing school to become became an R.N. She worked at Easton Memorial Hospital from 1952 until 1971, then worked for the office of Hawkinson, Baker, and McDonald in Easton, until her retirement in 1979. She had belonged to St.’s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Easton and then to the I.H.M. Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE. Mrs. McBride is survived by one daughter, Donna Marie Smith of Easton; four sons: Edward Richard Renshaw, of Easton, Douglas K. Renshaw of Easton, David K. Renshaw of Easton, and Stephen E. Renshaw of Trappe, MD; four stepchildren: Martin McBride, Jr. of Wilmington, Patricia Janvier of Wilmington, Sharon Bathon of Newark, DE and Colleen Bristow of Newark; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 11 great step grandchildren.
The family would also like to extend special thanks to Laurie for her loving care for Mom, and the support of the family since her return to Easton.
