Dorothy S. Barden, age 89, longtime resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Auburn Manor in Chaska, MN. She was born February 5, 1925, in Carson Lake, MN, the daughter of Mike and Dorothy (Sertich) Skrbich. She graduated from Hibbing High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Marvin Barden on September 5, 1953, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing.
Dorothy worked as the store manager for Gallenkamp’s Shoes for 13 years. She also worked for Pickands-Mather. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
