Sholund, Doris N. of Plymouth, 11-25-1920 – 11-1-2013. Preceded in death by husband, Monty Sholund and grandson, Jason Eric Anderson. Survived by daughter, Becky Sholund Anderson (Bruce) of Maple Plain, MN; grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, of Maple Plain and Julie Anderson Eshenaur (Peter) of Eagan, MN; great-grandchildren, Ethan Eshenaur, Micah Sholund Eshenaur; extended family, Janel Corby Stocton, Knoxville, TN. Doris was born in Oxford England and was trained as a Registered Nurse. She served as a nurse in the RAF during the rocket bombings of the UK during WWII. Studied French, preparing for the Mission Field where she met Monty Sholund and later married him while serving as a missionary nurse in the Congo. Monty and Doris and many others built Tandala Hospital in the Congo. The Sholunds moved to South Africa where they settled for many years. Doris was instrumental in the founding of Rosehaven Senior Center, in conjunction with Rosebank Union Church. In 1982 the Sholunds immigrated to Maple Plain, MN to be near their grandchildren and to establish Village School of the Bible. Resided in Maple Plain, three doors away from their grandchildren, Ryan and Julie until later moving to Plymouth. Doris wintered for many years in Tucson Estates, making many friends over the years. A very special friendship with neighbors in Tucson Estates and Cimarron Ponds Jerry and Joann Loecken.
