Doris Josephine Peterson, age 90, formerly of McKinley, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 17, 2016 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul, MN. She was born August 13, 1925, in Mud Lake, MN the daughter of Eric and Fannie (Hill) Anderson. Doris graduated from Mt. Iron High School, and then worked as a bank teller and aircraft factory worker in California. She married Thomas Peterson of Zim, MN on December 14, 1946, and together they moved to McKinley in 1957 to raise their family.

Doris enjoyed the outdoors. She was an avid fisherwoman and loved her gardens. She was active in church groups and Women’s Aglow.
