Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia for many years. She was a great homemaker and had a love for music. She married Emile J. Hermans on November 28, 1931 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and together they shared 69 years of marriage until his passing in 2000. Also preceding her in death were 2 grandsons, Michael Zimmerman and Brian Lafler; 2 sons-in-law, Richard Lafler and James Zimmerman; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are 5 daughters, Helen (Joe) Dunn of Ionia, Shirley (John) Aerts of Jackson, Virginia Zimmerman of Kansas City, MO, Mary Jo (David) Clonan of Grand Rapids, and Theresa (John) Hess of Denver, CO; 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
