Doreen Madelyn Sarkisian passed away in St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital, December 3, 2019, with her loving husband by her. Born in Dearborn, Michigan on February 5, 1954, she was the youngest of 5 sisters and 2 brothers born to John and Estelle (nee Podlesney) Narkun. After graduating from St. Ladislaus High School, she entered the work force. Among them, she worked as the manager of an apartment building and later as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office.Doreen had admirable abilities and talents, too. She participated as a long distance runner in a successful league. She excelled as a master gardener, winning certification as a Master Gardener from the Hidden Lakes Gardens, a 755 acre botanical garden and an arboretum operated by Michigan State University situated in the Irish Hills.
