Donna Cardine McCauley of Berryman died Saturday, February, 17, 2007 at the Cuba Manor in Cuba, Missouri. She was born, the daughter of Joseph William and Grace May (Hicks) Bridgeman in Huzzah, Missouri. Donna lived her entire life within three or four mile radius of where she was born, on the old Lambert Place on Huzzah. She was united in marriage to Elmer McCauley on July 8, 1933 in Steelville and to this union one son was born. Elmer preceded her in death on February 2, 1975.
She is survived by one son, Everett McCauley of Union, Missouri and 9 nieces, Fredia Bowers, Rena Jackson, Jerry Carroll, Margaret Bond, Erma Davison, Earline Abney, Sharon Skaggs, Carol Skinner, and Wilma Stringer and two special friends, Judy Grey and EJ Gardner. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula Smith & husband Frank and Beulah Worley & husband Willis.
Elmer and Donna owned and operated a general store known as Mac’s Place at Berryman for twenty-five years. They retired in January 1975. Donna was a member of the Berryman Assembly of God Church. She will be remembered for her ability to cook and bake. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
