Age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. He was born on September 2, 1933 in Bellevue, MI, the son of John and Lelah Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Christian Church in Ionia, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the V.F.W. Sheridan Post #5065, where he was the captain of the Allstate Post Commander in 1988. Donald married Alice Neuenschwander in 1973, and together they shared nearly 42 years. He retired from Lansing Fisher Body after 30 years of service. Donald was the Employee of the Year for Ionia Dial-A-Ride, where he drove for 3 years, and also drove school bus for Greenville Public Schools, and charter bus for Indian Trails, both for 9 years. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Nathan Jones in 2000; step son, Richard Neuenschwander; siblings, Daniel Jones, John Jones, Glen (Sandy) Tucker, and Lorainne Beden. Surviving are his wife, Alice Jones of Greenville (formerly of Ionia); 3 sons, James Jones of Gowen, Mitch (Sue) Jones of Georgia, and Mike (Laurie) Jones of Belding; daughter, Dianne Jones of Gowen; step children, Glenda Neuenschwander of Greenville, and David Neuenschwander of Walker; step daughter-in-law, Debra Neuenschwander of Kingsley; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Judy (Tom) Rossbottom.
