Donald A. Stahl, age 85, of Cook and formerly a longtime resident of Sand Lake died Friday, February 19, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born February 18, 1931, in Virginia the son of Charles and Frances Stahl. He graduated from Virginia High School. He was united in marriage to Beverly A. Jensen on February 25, 1949, in Virginia.
Donald was an owner/operator of Stahl’s Furniture and Upholstery in Virginia. He was a member of the Sand Lake Chapel, and formerly of the Elks and Moose Clubs in Virginia.
Donald is survived by his wife: Beverly; his sons: Wesley (Suzy) Stahl of Britt, MN, and Craig Stahl of St. Peter, MN; four grandchildren: Danny Witcher, Roberta Witcher, Kaylee (Mike) Hoard, and Beckey Stahl; seven great-grandchildren: Danielle, Kris, Elise, Kayanna, Jayden, Payton, and Preston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bob, Ray and Chuck; and an infant sister.
