Obituary
Dixie Kay Nichols of Foristell, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the age of 70. She is survived by her beloved husband Roger Nichols; siblings, Gary, Carol, June and Cindy. A special thank you to nephew Brian and nieces Christine and Nichole for taking care of Dixie in her final weeks. She is preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Eleanora (nee Altenkirch) Whaley and sister, Gail who was our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Dixie received a Master’s Degree in Food Service Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She spent her career at Cardinal Glennon and Barnes hospitals and worked with Roger in his insurance agency. Dixie’s life will be celebrated on Friday, April 12th at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. Dixie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
